I established my private architectural practice in 2003 after 19 years with Callison in Seattle, Washington. I am now located in the spectacular Columbia Gorge, working in Hood River, White Salmon, Stevenson and The Dalles, while I continue to work with clients in the Puget Sound area.
My focus is on custom residences, especially those with challenging waterfront sites. I have designed many homes in the Northwest during my 30+ year career, including the San Juans, Whidbey and Camano Islands, Everett, Seattle, Hood Canal and several in Oregon as well.
My commercial work includes retail, office, interiors, corporate headquarters, law offices, branch banks, airport retail, data & operations centers, hotels, athletic clubs, historic renovation, international environmental graphics and wine tasting rooms.
Prior to my architectural career, I worked in my family's commercial construction company. I hold architectural licenses in both Washington and Oregon.

Ryan's path to becoming an architect was as direct as they come. When he was 12 years old, he announced to his father that he was going to be an architect. The die was cast and he never looked back. Eventually, after much work and study, he achieved that goal.
